WASHINGTON (reporter Feng power) July 4, AQSIQ quality sampling results released earlier this year with a base of 26 enterprises in Tianjin, Shanxi, Jiangsu and other 10 provinces and cities in the production of ammonium chloride. The total sampling pass rate is 94.1%. At the same time, the information also showed that at present, China's ammonium chloride output has accounted for 95% of the world's total production, while consumption accounts for 89% of the world total.
When the Chinese Soda Industry Association expressed its opinion on the results of the spot check, at present there are 35 soda ash companies in China that produce ammonium chloride. The domestic production capacity is 5.2 million tons, and the global production of ammonium chloride was 5.47 million tons last year. Except for China, only Japan and India produce a small quantity. At present, China's major producers of ammonium chloride are Dalian Dahua Group, Hubei Shuanghuan Group and Tianjin Soda Plant. The total output of ammonium chloride from these three companies reached 2 million tons, accounting for half of the country's total output. In addition, there are 10 companies with annual output of about 200,000 tons. At the same time, China is still the largest consumer market for ammonium chloride. Last year, China imported 11 tons of agricultural ammonium chloride and 2,080 tons of industrial ammonium chloride.
Ammonium chloride is a high-efficiency nitrogen fertilizer with a nitrogen content of about 25%. As ammonium chloride is lower in price than urea and other agricultural chemicals, it is welcomed by the market. In addition, ammonium chloride is an important raw material for compound fertilizers. Therefore, in recent years, ammonium chloride has become quite popular in the market.
It is understood that the three companies that were found to have quality problems were small private enterprises. The quality problems of these enterprises are mainly due to the high residue content of ammonium chloride, low nitrogen content, and unreliable nutrient content of the packaging label. As of yesterday, Wenshui Wencheng Chemical Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Wenshui County had suspended the production and reorganization of the three small companies, and the other two unqualified products had been sealed and stored.
The China Soda Ash Industry Association stated that this 94.1% pass rate indicates that the domestic product quality of ammonium chloride is completely guaranteed. The association has applied to the National Brand Strategy Promotion Committee for the application of 5 ammonium chloride products as "China Top Brand".
